Blood Drive

On September 4th, the Youngstown Student Activities Council organized a blood drive for students, staff and faculty. LifeShare, whose mission is to provide blood to patients in a cost-effective manner, came to campus to set up and run the blood drive. Many people, both seasoned and first time givers, came out to donate blood. LifeShare initially donated one five hundred dollar scholarship to be given out through a drawing, but due to the abundance of donors, they decided to donate two instead. Also on campus, was the radio station 98.9, who promoted the event. People were also given the opportunity to spin a wheel for prizes. Due to the high interest of so many people, the campus looks forward to having another drive in the winter. The Youngstown Campus would like to thank everyone who took the time to come and donate!
