Smooth Sailing
As a former Navy serviceman, Brian Cook got a head start on accomplishing his dream of traveling and experiencing new things; now he’s getting a head start at National College on the skills that will help him to achieve another dream: opening his own barber shop. He plans on using the knowledge he gains in his business administration-accounting associate degree so he can keep his own books and run the business himself.
At first, Brian was nervous about jumping back into school after being in the military for four-plus years. However, he found a safe and welcoming harbor at the Youngstown Campus. One of the first things Brian notes about National is, “how it’s more intimate, as far as being able to have a better relationship with instructors, versus being at a big campus,” he says. For him, the smaller class size at National has made his transition smooth sailing.
