Celebrating Black History

During the month of February, the students at the Stow Campus are enjoying a celebration of Black History Month.  In addition to bulletin boards featuring famous African American history makers and large library displays, special guest speaker, Okantah, the Muntu Kuntu Energy poet, will be making an appearance on campus on February 11th. Okantah will enlighten the student body and faculty with poetry, stories and music from his native land.

Directions to Stow

From I-76: Take exit 33 for OH-43 toward Kent/Hartville, heading north. After approximately 3 miles, turn left on to Haymaker Parkway, then continue another 2 miles and turn right on Fishcreek Rd. The campus is approximately ½ mile on your right.

From I-80/Ohio Turnpike: Take exit 180 for OH-8 heading south. After approximately 7 miles, take the Graham Road exit toward Silver Lake/Stow, and turn left on to Graham Road. After approximately 3-½ miles, turn right on Fishcreek Road. The campus is approximately ½ mile on your left.

From the south on I-77: Remain on I-77N until Akron, remaining on OH-8 N to Cuyahoga Falls. Take the Graham Road exit toward Silver Lake, turning right on to Graham Road. After approximately 3-½ miles, turn right on Fishcreek Road. The campus is approximately ½ mile on your left.
