Another Great Job

Brandy Farley, who has earned her associate degree in business management from National, has landed an outstanding job as a result of her hard work at the College and the great connections the College has in the Roanoke Valley business community.
Brandy, who is currently on track to finish her bachelor's degree in business management, began a new job on October 5th with Cole and Associates, a local CPA firm. Her new position is an accounting role that involves doing audits with a specific group of clients, both locally and around the state of Virginia.
Brandy says she actually got the job as a result of an externship she did during her bachelor's degree program. She worked as a supervisor at Hunting Hills Country Club in Roanoke, where she got to know Mr. Clark Cole, the owner of Cole and Associates, who is a vice-president of the Board at Hunting Hills.
Brandy says that the skills she learned at National College helped her to land this great job. "A lot of the classes I have taken in my BBA program, like accounting and payroll and Excel, have really helped me in terms of the skills needed in this job."
While Brandy is still working at Hunting Hills, she says she is going to have to "ease her way out" of that job so she can focus on her new position with Cole and Associates. Additionally, she is planning to enroll in the MBA program at National. Brandy was recently featured in the National News's "Spotlight on Success."
