Roanoke Valley Instructor John W. Barksdale has recently been hired as the new Executive Director of the Glencoe Museum and Radford Heritage Foundation. John will be responsible for all aspects of museum operation and the overseeing of a variety of history preservation projects in Radford. He plans to focus on writing grants, organizing fundraising projects, and creating an endowment fund in order to improve the financial status of this non-profit organization.
John also graduated from Virginia Tech this spring with a Master of Arts degree in Instructional Technology. He plans to use this degree as he continues teaching software courses at National College.
