The Best

On Monday, May 12, the Roanoke Valley campus held what Career Center Director Cathy Fortune calls the “best” job fair at the campus in a long time. As many as 28 employers attended and several said they were pleased with the job seekers -- they had never had so many at National.
This year National opened the job fair to the public, and as an added enticement for both students and the public, radio station WJJS did a live remote broadcast at the Roanoke Valley campus. Brian Ard, from exhibitor CCS Medical, said he was busy the entire time speaking with potential job candidates. He noted receiving several good resumes.
Cathy was pleased to learn that recruiters Ginger Hodges (right) and Deborah Yeager (left) from Advance Auto are also graduates from National’s information technology program. Based on the long line of job seekers at their table, Ginger and Deborah were busy during the fair.
