National Grads Fill the Office!

With six graduates and students on staff, National College is well represented at a South Williamson medical practice. Angela Clark (standing 2nd left), a licensed practical nurse for the medical practice, Samantha Boyd (standing far left), a phlebotomist, and Becky Gibson (seated 2nd left), a certified medical assistant, are students in the campus's new nursing program and are planning to graduate next year. Becky earned a medical assisting degree from the campus in 2007 and began working for Dr. Somasundaram as an extern which led to a full time job in the practice. Furthermore, Lakean Pitts (seated 2nd right) and Lou Ann Justice (standing 2nd right) just graduated from the campus last month: Lakean with a medical assisting degree and Lou Ann with a phlebotomy diploma. Lastly, phlebotomy student Stephanie Belcher (seated left) is currently working for Dr. Somasundaram as an extern.
A growing business with over half of his entire staff either students or graduates from National College, Dr. Somasundaram (pictured in the center) says he employed them because they are "conscientious" in their work efforts and describes them as "quality." Teresa Robinson (standing 3rd left), Family Nurse Practitioner and office manager, credits National for their emphasis on a broad set of job skills. Teresa said, "The training they receive allows flexibility with their job descriptions." She also comments further that they are "ready" and "well-prepared" to work when they enter a medical office.
