Practice Makes Perfect
Ronetta Huffman, Phlebotomy student at the Pikeville Campus, recently had the opportunity to practice her technique on a prosthetic training arm in the campus’s Medical Lab. Students, like Ronetta, in the Advanced Phlebotomy Techniques class learn how to perform blood collection procedures. Ronetta, proud of her new ability to draw blood, posted numerous pictures of herself in action on her MySpace page where many members were able to view them. Through this use of technology, several of Ronetta’s friends are now interested in National College. She is a great example of the success gained in the Phlebotomy program. Her enthusiasm over her upcoming graduation and career is contagious. Congratulations Ronetta!
