Grand Re-opening

On May 13, the Martinsville Campus celebrated the grand re-opening of its new building. Approximately 175 people attended the event which opened up with flutist Mary Rakes playing “Shenandoah” and “The Star Spangled Banner” while the Martinsville High School JROTC Color Guard (left) transported and raised the flag to full staff.
The campus welcomed special guest speaker Mayor Kimble Reynolds who spoke to the crowd commending National College's commitment to the area, and on the college's history of educating and training area residents for successful careers. College President Frank Longaker spoke about the need for career education programs in today's business environment. He also noted that many Martinsville/Henry County students had gone on to successful careers after completing their studies at the
Martinsville Campus.
