Constitution Celebration

National College students agree that having the luxury of small classroom sizes and personal attention is a very desirable educational format. Add to that an instructor who truly loves the subject he is teaching and who brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the classroom, and you have a winning combination. The Lynchburg Campus recently celebrated Constitution Day, commemorating September 17, 1787. A handsome copy of the Declaration of Independence, with its thirty-nine signatures of brave men who changed the course of history, proudly hangs in the history classroom of Instructor Marvin Cash. His students regularly have the benefit of hands-on learning as he brings into the classroom materials with historical significance for group discussion, as well as taking his classes on field trips that offer pertinent history lessons. Students get excited about history--many for the first time in their educational experience--as they often express that it comes alive for them.
