D-Day Family Day

On Saturday, July 19, the National D-Day Memorial Foundation held its annual Family Day at the D-Day Memorial in Bedford, Virginia. Amidst “the place where the lessons and legacy of D-Day are remembered and preserved, where veterans of all ages are welcomed and honored, where visitors discover and recognize the worthy service of those who answer duty’s call, where gravity and dignity are hallmarks,” families and friends numbering over 1,000 joined in the celebration of the day. The Lynchburg Campus participated in the festivities and spoke with those in attendance about National’s Armed Services Recognition Grant along with its other grants and programs.
