Region 2000

The event, hosted by the Lynchburg Regional Chamber of Commerce, included a luncheon with a keynote address, tea on the grounds, and afternoon seminar and was held at the lovely Inn at Trivium. The keynote address and afternoon seminar were given by Amy Hall, CPS/CAP, President of the International Association of Administrative Professionals of the Virginia Division. Campus Director Bill Baker addressed the group letting them know about the programs and grants offered at the campus and the unique features of a National education.

Virginia’s Region 2000 Partnership is a remarkable example of public and private cooperation of business and civic leaders as well as government officials and educators who work together to create a supportive environment for businesses throughout the region. Regional services are implemented and coordinated that improve quality of life and build opportunities for success. It is composed of the Economic Development Council, Local Government Council, Technology Council, Workforce Investment Board, Young Professionals of Central Virginia, and the Center for Advanced Engineering and Research.
