New AAPC Chapter Chartered

The Louisville Campus recently received approval for a new chapter of the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). The organization is the nation's largest medical coding training and certification association with more than 80,000 members in physician offices, hospital outpatient facilities, ambulatory surgical centers and payer organizations. On August 13th, the first meeting was held, with officers being elected and future plans discussed. The chapter serves the entire community near the campus and provides job and professional networking opportunities, professional development, and it administers certification exams to members, with the first sitting in December.
