Medical Assisting Students Conduct Community Health Screening

On July 29th the Louisville Campus conducted a health screening clinic at the West End Token Center. The center has served the greater Louisville community for the past four years. Four medical assisting students joined Director of Healthcare Education Carleen Miles in conducting blood pressure, glucose, and cholesterol screenings. Students got practical experience while residents enjoyed the benefits of learning vital information about their health. One resident was found by National students to have significantly high blood pressure and was encouraged to go to the hospital immediately.
