Dynamic Duo

There are times when life throws you a curve and the next decision you make will be the key to your future success. Surgical Technology students Donald Bowen and Ira Hurt from the Louisville Campus know far too well what that is like. Donald and Ira are from Scottsburg, Indiana. They both were laid off from a company they had worked for over 10 years. The company decided they would move to Mexico and informed most workers the day they were closing the doors. While many people face career obstacles such as this at some point in their lives, Donald and Ira have overcome. They have decided to work towards an education with National College. They travel 94 miles three times a week to attend class and have totally devoted themselves to finding a new career in the medical field. They have perfect attendance and above average grades. They travel together, study together, and will soon graduate together. Donald said, “National College was the best decision I ever made. [Admissions Representative Perry] Petus was the greatest and I love it here.”
