SAC is Back!
On your mark……, get ready……. get set ………..Go!!!! Yes, our students are taking initiative in the rebirth of Student Activities Council. We were excited to see them hanging flyers throughout the school. Many of the faculty and staff watched as student activists encouraged their classmates to attend. The Student Activities Council met for the first time in recent memory on October 9. In order to build up interest, each student who attended the first meeting agreed to bring another person to the next meeting! There are no elected student leaders, however longtime Instructor Robert Boutell (aka “Mr. B,” center) will be faculty advisor. This is a great way not only for students to make decisions on the activities available on and off campus together but, another way to develop leadership, public speaking, and problem solving skills that are so important in life.
