Graduation 2008

On Friday, May 23, the Louisville Campus held a graduation ceremony and reception celebrating 210 graduates, four of whom received their bachelor’s degrees. Twenty graduates achieved high honors with a grade point average of 3.75, and twenty-seven others achieved honors with a 3.5 grade point average.
The music, provided by organist Nick Hites, pianist Yolanda Green, and vocalist Sharron Sales, set the tone for a great celebration. The Rev. Bill Hollins, pastor of St. Stephen’s, gave the invocation and benediction. Student David Stevenson did an excellent job as the program marshal. The commencement speaker was John Yarmuth, Congressman for the 3rd District of Kentucky. Congressman Yarmuth threw away his prepared speech and chose to speak from the heart because he was so moved by the exuberance of the graduates and the audience.
Congratulations 2008 graduates on your achievements!
