Health Fair

On March 19th, the Louisville Campus hosted a Health and Education Fair. The goal of the fair was to create a public service event for the community at large and for students. Thirty five vendors were on display with exhibits that included door prizes, free cancer screenings, and free massages. Students in the medical assisting program provided free blood pressure checks. The spotlight of the day’s events was focused on alzheimer's and dementia and how this debilitating disease affects not only the disabled and elderly but their families as well.
WAVE-TV3 “Listen Live Show,” hosted by Cindi Sullivan, was televised live on campus during the event. She interviewed our Campus Director Jerry Lafferty, Director of Health Care Education Carlene Miles, Director of Admissions Eli Kraft, Community Resource Coordinator Tammy Southerling as well as many vendors, sponsors, and students. With hundreds of participants, the fair was a success leaving attendees to wonder if they will be included in the next event.
