Career Fair

On Wednesday, June 17th, the Louisville Campus held its Spring career fair with over 25 companies and organizations attending. With the help of Community Resource Coordinators Tammy Southerling and Elaine Jetton, Career Center Director Amie Oakes hosted such organizations as Norton Healthcare, Primerica Financial Services, National Patient Account Services, Home Instead Senior Care, and the Indiana Census Bureau.
The timing of this event was beneficial to both recent graduates and students in their final term. Both graduates and students seeking employment met with hiring managers to learn about job opportunities, how to apply online, and submit applications on the spot. The company representatives were pleased with the interest and the number of applications and resumes they received from students.
The University of Louisville Kentucky Cancer Program attended the event providing free skin cancer screenings to attendees, in addition to publicizing open positions at their program.
