Summer Career Fair
On Thursday, July 24th, the Lexington Campus held its Summer Career Fair. There were approximately 15 employers, 80 students and 30 graduates in attendance. Career Center Director Tena Varney was pleased to supply Willstaff Agency with over 75 resumes from her resume file. People Plus asked for the resumes from students and graduates in the accounting, management, and administrative office professional programs. But the winner for the day was Baptist Physicians, a part of Central Baptist Hospital, asked to receive all resumes from the medical assisting, medical office, and billing and coding resumes programs. Tena submitted as many as 127 total resumes.
Tena also held a term graduation meeting to coincide with the career fair. She met with most all of the summer term graduates to discuss interview tips, fill out employment information, and discuss the graduation procedures.
