Instructor Receives Prestigious Award

Knoxville Business Adjunct Faculty member Curt Hall (pictured) was recently recognized by his peers at the 72nd Annual Meeting for the Tennessee Human Resources/SHRM Conference in Nashville.
Curt received the James House Williamson award which is given annually to recognize the work of an individual in the State of Tennessee who, in the eyes of their peers, has made outstanding contributions to the professional development of sound human resources management in any or all of its various phases.
Curt was eminently qualified for this acknowledgment by meeting all of the award categories including service to employers, service to the profession, recognition, participation in civic activities, and/or offices held in both the local and state human resource groups. Additionally, he has been a member the Tennessee Valley Human Resource Association for over 11 years, including serving as the president in 2007.
Curt organized a career center to help unemployed HR professionals find jobs during this very difficult time in our economy. He also teaches the certification review course twice a year, for the past four years, for HR professionals hoping to become certified.
As an instructor at National since 2006, Curt's passion and dedication to his profession has been exhibited in every class he has taught, and his students feel very strongly about him. Student Jonus Moore said, "Mr. Hall brings the real world into the classroom and makes the words on the page really come alive." Student Jaleel Manns added, "Since I've started my own business, a lot of what Mr. Hall has talked about has directly impacted how I do things. I know his expertise and guidance will help me be successful and grow my business." Congratulations Curt!
