Learning Web Design

Web design is not just about putting pages on the internet. As students Angela Suddath (back), Lisa Hodge (standing), Andrea Hancock (front), and Cory Blance (not pictured) found out, good web design also involves meeting international standards of code and layout. In Instructor Reuel Sample's Introduction to Web Design, students learned the history of the World Wide Web, the different generations of web pages, and the future of the web. In addition, students also designed and uploaded pages to their very own websites. Their home pages include theirrésumés, a contact page, pictures, and other information of interest. Students also verified their pages with the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), an international organization which standardizes web design and layout. Angela and Lisa passed all standardization qualifications, which allowed them to put the W3C logo on their site. Well done!
