As a business instructor at the Knoxville Campus, Curt Hall has had an opportunity to make an impact on each one of his students with many years of experience as a human resources professional. As a result of his extensive experience, he was nominated and selected as the winner of the 2008 Human Resource Professional Excellence Award in Tennessee at the statewide conference held in Memphis.
Curt has worked for over 35 years in a variety of positions, primarily in manufacturing throughout Tennessee and western North Carolina. He has been active in local chapters of the Society for Human Resource Management wherever he was employed and has been active most recently in the local chapter (Tennessee Valley Human Resource Association) for over 10 years. He has made significant contributions while serving in a variety of leadership positions including Membership Chair, Awards and Recognition Chair, President, and on state conference committees. Curt also conducts job transition programs for church members and is an active community and civic volunteer. He is also a strong supporter of student chapter activities and the SHRM Student HR Games. Currently he is serving as the instructor for the Chapter PHR and SPHR certification courses where his students have maintained a 75% pass rate.
