Installed Officers
On September 24th, the Knoxville Chapter of Executive Women International (EWI) installed their officers for the upcoming year. Two of these officers are from the Knoxville Campus. Career Center DirectorTerrye Whitaker (pictured on the back row 3rd from right), and Director of Financial Planning Meaghann Singleton (pictured 2nd from right, next to Terrye) were installed as President and Sergeant-at-Arms respectively. EWI focuses on three primary areas – careers (professional development), connections (networking opportunities), and communities (community involvement). The local chapter is very involved with the community through various philanthropies, the local Knoxville Youth Sports Organization, and through scholarships. This organization also provides a scholarship to a National student who meets certain requirements. The most recent recipient was Medical Assisting student Stephanie Lane. Terrye said, “I am looking forward to this year and the leadership opportunities that it will bring.”
