Constitution Celebration

The Knoxville Campus proudly celebrated Constitution Day with two guest speakers. Lawyers Susan Roten and Joseph Lynch, from Wimberly Lawson Seale Wright & Daves, PLLC, shared the responsibility of informing the students how the Constitution affects the workplace today. They specifically discussed Amendments that address fair treatment in the workplace; religion is a protected category for employment; reasonable expectation of privacy in the workplace; and the constitutional principle of equal protection associated with federal equal employment opportunity laws which govern public and private workplaces. Many students commented on how much they learned from the presentations which were well attended for both the day and night programs.
