Stuffed Anatomy

On day one of the Systems of Transport and Support class, Instructor Rhonda Dexter began teaching students Eugenia Brown (pictured on the right), Tameka Loope, Sheri Mea (left), and Yolanda Stinson about anatomy. She has a unique method of doing this with stuffed animals of all sizes and shapes. She has the students use the animals to identify the different parts of the body. Each term, students have a great time learning with this hands-on exercise. Eugenia said, “I never knew what some of these terms meant. Now I do. Plus, I’ll never look at a teddy bear in quite the same fashion.” Rhonda feels that doing this exercise is an easy way for students to figure out where everything is. She enjoys watching the students go through this assignment each term.
