Achievement Award Winner
The Harrisonburg campus would like to recognize and congratulate student Matt Phillippi, a business administration–accounting major that is planning to graduate in May. Matt is the recipient of a 2009 Award of Achievement from the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA). The VSCPA sponsors this award each year to recognize outstanding accounting students at high schools, colleges, and universities throughout the state.
Matt was nominated for the award by his boss and accounting instructor Christopher Balderson. Chris is the manager of the tax accounting department at Rosetta Stone. He has seen Matt both from the standpoint of an instructor and also a supervisor; he is in a great position to observe Matt’s outstanding capabilities.
The award of Achievement will be presented to Matt and other recipients on April 23 at a special dinner and reception, the 2009 Spring CPA Inauguration. Congratulations, Matt, on your achievement and well-deserved recognition! We are proud to have you as a student.
