Free Workshop
On February 25, during the term break, the Admissions Department teamed up with the Career Center at the Harrisonburg campus and offered a free workshop for prospective students on “Finding a Job in Tough Economic Times.” Those that attended each got personal attention and a résumé critique. They also got questions answered about the job search process. Career Center Director Emily Sterrett provided many tips on how to make yourself stand out from the competition when job hunting. There are jobs being filled every day, even in tough times, but job seekers need to be more creative and proactive to get a good offer. Those who attended left with a more hopeful outlook on their job search and a taste of how National College goes above and beyond for their students.
