Veterans Day Celebration
The Harrisonburg Campus celebrated Veterans Day on November 11th by honoring students, faculty, and staff who have served our nation in the military. In addition, the campus hosted two guests from the community: Jim Holbert representing the Marine Corps League and the Toys for Tots program in which our campus will participate; and Jim Hughes representing the American Legion Post 188. Campus Director Jack Ekey, himself an Air Force veteran, welcomed everyone and thanked all those present for their past and current service to the United States. Each of the guests made a few remarks about the importance of service to one’s country and gratitude to those who have answered the call. Jack and Mr. Hughes presented each veteran present with the gift of a National College folio.
