Business After Hours
The Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce regularly holds Business-After-Hours events for Chamber members. The events are a social time after work when the host member can showcase their new business or service. The Harrisonburg Campus had to wait nearly two years for a turn, but on Thursday, July 24th, they got a chance to show off our great new building and talk about our programs to a group of almost 80 local business people. Community Resource Coordinator Michael Carrier did an outstanding job arranging nice refreshments and vases of fresh flowers to make the campus welcoming. Visitors seemed to have a very good time and many asked great questions about the college. Sponsored by the college’s Community Relations Fund, the event certainly helped us to improve our name-recognition in the community.
