Walking for Babies

Saturday, April 19, was a beautiful day in Harrisonburg – a great day for National College’s team of almost 30 walkers to participate in the local March of Dimes Walk for Babies. Supported by the college’s Community Relations Fund, walkers secured pledges and were able to choose either a 3-mile or a 6-mile walk. Students and staff both participated, raising a total of $2510 from the College and exceeding our goal by $1000. Capturing first place in fund-raising was Medical Assisting student Kim Lipscomb, second place was Molly Fitzwater, also a Medical Assisting student, and third place was Director of Admissions Shara Taylor. Director of Health Care Education Leelee Breeden led the team as captain and sends a big thanks to walkers and contributors for making this event such a success!
Participants of the National College Team are pictured taking a well-deserved rest after their walk.
