Good Educational Match

Santos Delgato has found a good match for her educational needs at National College. Born in El Salvador, Santos moved to the U.S. in 2001 with her parents and settled in California. Being in high school at the time and having no knowledge of English made high school very challenging for her. A wonderful and dedicated teacher kept pushing her in her ESL and bilingual classes. She even took some college classes concurrently with her high school classes (now that’s impressive for not knowing the language well). She began to make friends in California and was able to graduate from high school on time, to the point that she gave the student graduation speech to her high school class!
After high school, Santos moved to Virginia where she has a sister, in order to begin a new life on her own. She knew she wanted more education and she enrolled at a nearby college. She found the classes there not to be as strictly focused on her preferred career; they were also too big to offer her the personal attention she wanted.
She looked into the Harrisonburg Campus and began working on a degree in the Administrative Office Professional program and will complete it next year. We are glad you chose us, Santos. You add to the richness of our campus.
