Clinical Procedures in Action

Students in Director of Health Care Education Leelee Breeden’s Invasive Clinical Procedures class eagerly learn new techniques and skills as they prepare to become Medical Assistants. Upon graduation, students look forward to working alongside physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants, in providing direct patient care. This class offers an introduction into the physician’s office laboratory and includes a study of the microscope, centrifuge, clinical chemistry, and basic hematological procedures. Students get hands on experience with lab procedures by sticking fingers and typing blood.
