National College's new Harrisonburg campus opened in January 2007. This modern 30,000 square-foot facility is conveniently located near I-81 and Route 33, providing easy access from all surrounding areas. The new Harrisonburg campus continues to be easily accessible to city bus service and major shopping centers. First opened in 1989, Harrisonburg’s career education program and small classes provide a unique alternative to the region’s choices in higher education.

2009 Graduation Celebration

On May 29, the Harrisonburg Campus celebrated its 2009 graduation at JMU's Memorial Hall with a total of 104 students receiving degrees and diplomas. Professional motivational speaker and business coach Art Jackson delivered an inspiring speech to graduates to live the "greatness" that is within them. During the ceremony, the campus distributed awards to students for going above and beyond. Stacy Lynn Burkett was given the Achievement Award; Amber N. Harper received the Leadership Award; Russell Lee Biller received the E.M. Coulter Award; Bradley Phillip Kiser received the M.A. Smythe Award; Matthew R. Phillippi received the Joseph E. Hurt Award; Vilayvanh Khamphavong received the Dorothy Coulter Hancock Award; and Lewis Earl Kingston, III received the Alumni Hall of Achievement Award.
