The campus was relocated to its new location in early April. The new campus, a modern 14,109 square foot facility, features 10 classrooms, a library, bookstore, office space, and a student lounge.
The Danville campus was started in November 1982 and has been proudly offering a career-oriented education to residents of the city and surrounding counties ever since. The campus offers career-oriented education and serves students from throughout Southside Virginia and neighboring communities in North Carolina. Its central location on Riverside Drive places it in the heart of Danville’s commercial district and offers an atmosphere conducive to academic success.

Exploring Medical Careers in the Navy
On Thursday, July 22nd, three area Navy Recruiters visited the Danville Campus and met with students in the medical and surgical classes. Career Center Director Jim Gillispie welcomed the recruiters and escorted them to the various classrooms. The recruiters discussed medical careers available to students in the U.S. Navy. They also explained the possibilities of obtaining further education in Navy related medical areas such as the Navy Nurse Corps or as a Navy Pharmacist. Students learned about a sign-on bonus as high as $20,000 and additional bonuses as they progress. In addition, the recruiters told the classes they could make up to $65,000 a year and provided possible retirement schedules in the active Navy and Navy Reserves. All students paid close attention to the information supplied and asked many questions. One student set up an appointment to discuss the Navy Reserves. The information seminar was extremely well received by everyone.
