A Mock Trial

Students in the Practical Law class at the Danville Campus recently participated in a “Mock Trial.” Each students took on a role as a prosecutor, defendant, witness or a part of the jury. With help from the legal community, students gained valuable insight into the trial process. The “mock” case involved murderers, liars, as well as innocent people trying to prove their side of the story. The workings of a trial from start to finish helped the students get a feel for how the judicial system works, from preparing witnesses to the jury retiring to decide the verdict. In the end, the mock jury declared the mock defendant innocent. Congratulations to all that participated and special thanks to the legal community for supporting this valuable learning hands-on learning experience.
