New Mascot
The Danville Campus has fostered in a new mascot thanks to Jamie Brown, Computer Applications Technology student. Jamie has lived about ½ mile from campus for 2 years and for that 2 years Sir Wags has followed right behind her all the way. Sir Wagsis a 4 year old, ½ Pekingese, ½ Pomeranian, a “peek-a-pom.” There’s no need for a leash because he sticks right next to his owner with no problem and once on campus he sits under any shade he can find in the summer and in the sun during the cold months.
All other students and staff love to see him when they come outside for their breaks. When Jamie comes out for her break Sir Wags jumps up and down like a little pup and just goes wild. Jamie is going to be moving further away soon and she won’t be able to walk to school anymore. Hopefully, instead of walking he can ride to school with Jamie so we can see his cute little face, but if not, it has been a great 2 years. Thanks Sir Wags, for keeping us smiling!
