Cattlemen's Lunch

The Danville, KY Campus was well represented at a Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce luncheon on Tuesday, August 26. The luncheon was held at the Lincoln County Extension Office and featured guest speaker Larry Woods, the new Lincoln County School Superintendent. He spoke about early childhood education and academic achievement with technology being implemented in today’s schools at an earlier age.
The chamber presented Achievement Awards to four students from Hustonville Elementary, Eathan Jones, Daniel Cooper, Abby Fultz, and Tanner Erlandson. They were honored for leadership skills and academic achievement and also for being role models for other students and model citizens in their community.
With help from the College’s Community Relations Fund, the campus hosted the luncheon which had over 100 people in attendance. Community Resource Coordinator Aaron Coleman (pictured) represented the campus in the opening introductions. Participants showed interest in the campus’s many available career-training programs at the National College display. The main attraction of the event was the rib-eye sandwiches for lunch presented by the Cattlemen’s Association.
