Mentoring the Future

Business Administration-Management graduate Angel Doss (pictured) participated in the Boyle County Middle School eighth grade mentoring program through the Danville-Boyle County Chamber of Commerce. Angel, who is also Administrative Assistant at the Danville Campus, traveled to the middle school every Tuesday for an hour to talk to girls about how to act as a professional in an interview and in a business setting. During the last week of the program the girls shadowed Angel at the campus and performed some of the work duties with her. It was then followed up with a luncheon including the kids and mentors at the United Way office in downtown Danville. Angel enjoyed sharing her experience with the eighth graders and said she will definitely participate in the program again next year.
