New Help Desk Technician
When the employees of the Commonwealth of Virginia call the help desk for their computer issues, they speak with Bristol Campus computer applications technology graduate Joseph Ezzell. Joseph works in Lebanon, Virginia for Northrop Grumman, and is one of the helpdesk technicians who assist these employees and computer technicians in the field.
Joe came to the Bristol campus in June of 2006 with a background in computer repair, so he had a foundation in hardware but need to expand upon his software knowledge. The associate degree in computer applications taught him Microsoft Office Suite and he is now well-prepared to take the certification exams needed for his position.
Joe enjoys going to work every day. He reached his goal to become a help desk technician and is pleased with his job. “There is job security in our area for good help desk personnel and the IT job market is growing. I am currently studying Cisco networking so I am able to advance my career at Northrop Grumman.”
