Dream Job
Bristol Campus medical office specialist graduate Carol Brodeur is working at Med One as an occupational medicine coordinator. Carol said, “I love working at Med One; it is my dream job.” Carol is responsible for processing drug screenings for area companies. She described her position as very busy with never a dull moment. She said, “This position is everything I thought working in a medical office could be.” She is learning medical coding and being cross-trained to help out in other areas of the office; next week she will learn to complete alcohol breathalyzers.
Carol was referred by Student Service Representative Joshua Fairchild. Josh is a Medical Assisting graduate from National and had completed an externship at Med One. Office Manager Joyce St. John recently called Josh to see if he would consider coming to work in the office. Josh informed her that he had accepted a position with the College but he had a classmate that would be perfect for the office position she had described. Carol’s resume was sent to the office and she interviewed for the position and Ms. St. John is very pleased with her new staff member.
