On Thursday, November 20th, students in the medical assisting program at the Bluefield campus participated in a CPR and First Aid class offered by Director of Health Care Education Patricia Sell. Medical assisting students are required to obtain healthcare provider CPR certification and first aid training prior to beginning their externship. In addition to her responsibilities at the College, Pat is also an instructor for the American Heart Association. She offers the CPR certification class at the College in between terms to provide an opportunity for students to get their certification in plenty of time prior to their externship.
