Constitution Celebration

The Bartlett Campus celebrated Constitution Day on September 17th with several activities planned by the Student Activities Council (SAC). President Diane Hess was impressed, “the turnout for Constitution Day was great - students dressed and participated in games, and quizzes made up by SAC team members.” Students, staff, and instructors donned patriotic dress in honor of Constitution Day. Many were in the spirit and wore red, white and blue. SAC members passed out U.S. Constitution booklets as well as flag pins to students in the classrooms. In addition, students were given several puzzles and quizzes to test their knowledge of U. S. History. Voter Registration forms were available which gave students the opportunity to register to vote and to encourage voting in the upcoming presidential election. The forms were mailed off the next day to ensure students would be registered to vote by November. In addition, red, white, and blue cupcakes were provided as refreshment for students. Some of the instructors recognized Constitution Day including Lisa Hutchison who gave a presentation to her Microsoft Office class. The class discussed several of the amendments to the Constitution as well as who has the right to vote.
SAC members Patricia Woods, Brion Broyles(Vice President), and Diane Hess(President) are pictured in their Constitutional spirit on Constitution Day.
