If you participated in the Montgomery GI Bill program, you can take advantage of these monthly benefit rates for full-time students:
CHAPTER 30: Active Duty/Veteran
Benefits for less than three years: $1,073/month
Benefits for three or more years: $1,321/month
CHAPTER 31: Disabled Veterans
The Department of Veterans Affairs pays the cost of tuition, books, and all fees directly to National College. In addition, the veteran receives a check from the V.A. as follows:
No Dependents: $541/month
One Dependent: $671/month
Two Dependents: $790/month
Each additional dependent: $57/month
CHAPTER 35: Survivors’ and Dependents’ Educational Assistance
Individual benefit of $915/month for the spouse or dependent of a veteran who is permanently and totally disabled or whose death was service-connected.
CHAPTER 1606: Selected Reserves
Benefit: $329/month (and you may be eligible for a kicker)
CHAPTER 1607: Reservists Called to Active Duty
Two Years Service: $1,056/month
One Year Service: $792/month
90 Days to One Year Service: $528/month
Armed Services Spouse Appreciation Grant
Honoring the support and sacrifice of military spouses, this grant awards $2,400 to spouses of Active Duty, National Guard/Reservists, Veterans, and Disabled Veterans.
Serving America Grant
For Active Duty, National Guard/Reservists, Veterans, and Disabled Veterans, this grant awards $2,400 in addition to benefits available from the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Armed Services Recognition Grant
Through this grant—available exclusively at National College—qualified students may receive up to $4,000 in tuition assistance.
Post 9/11 GI Bill
If you qualify for tuition assistance through the Post 9/11 G.I. Bill, we have even more good news for you. National will cover any tuition and/or fees not covered by your Post 9/11 benefits. For you, this means a college education with no out of pocket expense. Contact your local campus for full details on these and other forms of tuition assistance for servicemembers.
