Extern Turned Employee

Roanoke Valley graduate Bobby Welch(pictured) is another example of a student gaining not only experience from an externship but also a job. He graduated with a bachelors degree from the business administration-accounting program this past May and now he is working for Southeast Rural Community Assistance Project (RCAP), Inc.

Before going to National, Bobby previously worked in construction but injuries at work forced him to consider a new career field. National offered a flexible schedule which made it possible for Bobby to continue working while attending courses.

Bobby re-enrolled at the Roanoke Valley Campus in the Master of Business Administration program. His employer has taken note of his academic achievements and promoted him as a result. His goal is to become a certified public accountant so that he will be even more marketable for future career growth.
