Anything That She Sets Her Mind To!
In 2000, Roberta Wolford was working in the fast food industry and decided she was ready for a career change. She enrolled at National College in Pikeville and graduated in 2002 with honors in the Medical Assisting program. Since then she has obtained her CMA certification and a phlebotomy certificate. Roberta is now the Director of Health Care Education for the Pikeville Campus and working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. She says, “National College has changed my life because it has given me flexibility to work while attending college [and] helped me gain skills so that I could get out of the fast food business.”
Roberta also credits her National instructors for always willing to stay after class and offer additional help if needed. Her instructors’ commitment to her education gave her the confidence she needed to do anything that she sets her mind to!
