Bubbling with Enthusiasm

Business administration - management graduate Angela McKibben enjoyed her experience at the Cincinnati Campus of National College so much that she enrolled in a second program —information systems engineering— after her graduation in June of 2008.

“I love this place,” she says. “You get hands-on training, you’re able to learn, there’s not a whole lot of students in one class.” She credits her instructors with making her classes so enjoyable. There’s a lot of them I like,” she admits. Among her favorites was Tom Jefferson (now the campus director) and Director of Information Technology Programs Jim Cunningham.

Angela had been studying social work at the University of Cincinnati, but felt the large, centralized campus there was too far to travel. After learning about National’s Cincinnati Campus, which was closer to her home, she transferred. Angela has found that National’s career-focused programs will help her achieve her goal of owning her own business.

“I want to run a Laundromat,” she says with conviction. “It’s going to be called ‘Ms. Bubbles.’” People always need a place to wash their clothes, she says, and it’s a business she feels will give her plenty of time to spend with her seven grandchildren. A simple goal, perhaps, but one that really matters to her.

“I just want to live comfortably, start my own business, do well in the next five years.” With the dedication and hard work she has shown in her studies, we know Angela will reach any goal she sets for herself.
