We caught up with Knoxville Campus student Ashley Gelhar in her second week on the job as a Claims Support Specialist with Great Western, an insurance company specializing in the transportation industry. Ashley, who will complete her associate's degree in business administration--management this term, already has a great job a full month ahead of her graduation! "I loved the fact that they were smaller classes [at National], you had the teachers' attention more so than you would in larger classes," she says of her experience at National. Ashley also spoke appreciatively of her instructors, especially IT Chair Barry Gregg and Career Center Director (also instructor) Terrye Whitaker. "[Terrye] brought experience into the classroom...and that gets you out of just learning from books," Ashley commented. "Barry Gregg...words can't explain him! He's fun, and he makes learning fun." Ashley is looking forward to continuing her education and eventually moving into a management role. Congratulations to Ashley on her new job and her bright future putting her newly acquired business skills to work!
