Success in Tow
Nashville Campus Business Administration-Management Lorenzo Edwards has put his degree to good use in establishing his own highly successful business, Blessed Towing & Recovery, LLC. The US Army veteran and former police officer now spends his days (and often nights) in the business of "non-voluntary towing," typically towing vehicles that are illegally parked or making repossessions. The repossession business - "legal stealing" as Lorenzo calls it - is in fact becoming the core of his growing business. (Because of the nature of his work, Lorenzo doesn't like to have his photo taken with his truck.)
Lorenzo credits his instructors, especially Nashville Academic Dean Rick Feldser, with the practical knowledge, inspiration, and even inside contacts to enable him to get his business up and running. "When I had difficulty getting financing to start my business, they helped me make the connections I needed to get an SBA (Small Business Administration) loan," Lorenzo says of his National College instructors.
