With two National College degrees under his belt, longtime employee gets promoted to company headquarters

James Browning Jr. will be graduating this month from the Harrisonburg Campus with a Bachelor of Information Technology degree and he has already found success with a new career. James has worked many years in maintenance at Pilgrim’s Pride, a poultry processing facility outside of Harrisonburg. In 2004, he decided to create more career opportunities for himself and decided to enroll at National.
James was offered a promotion as a Local Area Network Technician at the company’s headquarters near Dallas, Texas
He earned an associate degree from the information systems engineering program last year, and with his employer’s encouragement and considerable hard work, he decided to keep going for his bachelor’s degree.
With his new skills in information technology and after many years working as a dedicated employee and proving to be an asset to his employer, James was offered a promotion as a Local Area Network Technician at the company’s headquarters near Dallas, Texas.
His new job will involve support of all computer and network issues including servers, switches, routers, cabling, and desktop systems. He will also provide support to all printer functions; provide hardware and software support and diagnosis for network issues; and assist with technology projects within the Pilgrim's Pride IT department.
This week, James and his family are moving to Plano, Texas so he can begin his new job on June 1st. He is excited about his new job and the new life that his National College degrees have opened up for him.
